The Buddha's Four Noble Truths explore human suffering.
Suffering exists. Suffering is real and universal. Suffering has many causes: loss, sickness, pain, failure, the impermanence of pleasurable states.
There is a cause for suffering. The cause is the desire to have and control things, people, events, our lives. It can take many forms.
There is an end to suffering. Suffering ends with the final liberation - Nirvana.
In order to end suffering, we must follow the Eightfold Path.
