Plucky Puppy is a full-service dog training and pet care business. Although we specialize in puppy training, we work with all kinds of dogs and behavior problems. Our training philosophy is based on scientific research about animal learning. We use positive reinforcement methods that are effective, humane, and make training fun for puppies and people, especially kids. (You won't hear any “Don't try this at home” disclaimers from us).

Katrin Greim, MA, CTC, graduated with honors from the San Francisco SPCA’s distinguished Academy for Dog Trainers and the Marin Humane Society’s Canine Behavior Academy. She is an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR.

Day Training

Want your puppy trained while you’re at work? No problem. Plucky Puppy will come to your house during the week while you’re at work, and on the weekend we’ll show you what he learned. Includes 5 dog training sessions and one follow-up session to show you how to maintain your dog’s behavior for life.

Board and Train

AKA “doggy make-over.” No time to train your dog? Going on vacation and want more than regular boarding for your dog? Your dog will benefit from real time personalized training for obedience, manners, and behavior issues while he enjoys family style boarding in our home. This is not doggy boot camp -- we use positive reinforcement to teach your dog. Your pup will have fun while learning and improve his social skills. When you pick up your puppy we’ll show you what she's learned, and how to maintain her new skills. Includes one additional follow-up session.

Private Training

We will come to your home and train you to train your dog. Hands-on training in your home will help you develop the skills and knowledge to continue training your dog throughout her life.

Puppy Packages

Our puppy packages are an alternative to traditional puppy classes, and include pre-puppy home preparation, in-home training sessions, attendance at puppy socials and some of our favorite puppy tools. See our website for more information about our Puppy Packages.

I accompany parents during their child's birth to provide non-medical care: emotional support, physical comfort measures and information to help parents make informed decisions during the birth. I also provide support to families in the days/weeks after the baby's birth. I work with Peninsula families from San Mateo to Mountain View. I am also lesbian and of course, open to all kinds of family configurations!
