Calling women who want to drum! Whether you are new to drumming or have been drumming for years, there is a place for you at the Born to Drum Women’s Drum Camp!
What: Born to Drum Women's Drum Camp
When: July 18, 19, and 20
Where: Walker Creek Ranch, an hour from Oakland or San Francisco and 14 miles from Petaluma
Cost: Cost depends on the type of housing you choose, Reduced early registration prices begin at $345 for camping, and $390 for dorms. Semi-private rooms are $455, and private rooms are $530. After June 2, add $40 to the discounted price. For on-site registration – if space is available – add $60 to the early registration price. Day and commuter passes are also available.
Description: During this week-end camp, there will be over 40 different classes to choose from. The faculty are Women master teachers from many different traditions, including West African, Congolese, Afro-Cuban and Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian, Japanese, Middle Eastern, and Native American.
Born to Drum is committed to supporting brand new drummers, and this year several Basic Skills classes have been added.

The mission of "The Inappropriate Show" TV for Lesbians: To feature outstanding Bay Area lesbians in conversation with host/producer Susan Kay Gilbert, MA Ed. We are beginning production of our 4th year in Berkeley and distributing the show for broadcast in San Francisco.
We are currently seeking sponsors to act as supporters of the show. Sponsors donate money and/or "in kind" items such as crew snacks in exchange for an on-air mention, listing on the credit roll and on our webpage. Amber Field offers an array of music services including private lessons in didgeridoo, djembe, tabla, esraj, riq (Arabic tambourine), and harmonium. She specializes in world fusion music, and offers fun, encouraging, clear lessons. She helps free the inner musician just waiting to play and express itself. All ages and levels are welcome.
Amber also leads devotional music services for Celebrate Life and various yoga studios and is available to perform solo or in her band Jagadamba. She fires up tasty spirit songs, gospel, Indian chanting, kirtan, and her own pieces.

Ellen Robinson is a jazz vocalist performing in the Bay Area. Her latest CD is entitled "Mercy! Ellen Robinson Live."
In addition to coaching private voice students, Ellen is the Director of the Anything Goes Chorus (for women & men) in San Francisco at the Community Music Center and Oakland at the First Congregational Church. She also teaches a beginning women's singing class called Swingshift Singers and directs two performing women's ensembles: Girlfriendz and Treble Makers---all in Oakland.
