Hello…all you human metronomes…..We have been asked to show “our stuff” at the “A Little Tango” parties put on By Amy Little and MIla. The gig will be towards the end of september at ODC. in San Francisco..a great space to tap dance in….and we have some great Latin Tap choreography to display. Ok…first we have to learn it…that is your job! There will be levels for everyone…from beginner to advanced….come by on saturday to the Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville Beginners 10 beg/adv 11 you may have a very rhythmic career ahead….or at least alot of dancing fun! “Women’s Power” with Max Dashu - Palo Alto

PWG is hosting a DVD screening of “Women’s Power” and a fundraiser for the Suppressed Histories Archives. “Women’s Power” is an eye-opening documentary about women whose role in history has been either minimized or deleted from standard history books. Since 1970, Max Dashu has researched and photographed images of women in all walks of life such as chiefs, priestesses, medicine women, architects, doctors, warriors, and scientists. She has created and shown this slideshow presentation, which has evolved through out the years, to groups, community centers and Universities. For more information on Suppressed Histories Archives, the DVD and Max Dashu visit http://www.suppressedhistories.net.
DVD will be available for sale. Tickets: $5-$15, (proceeds go to Suppressed Histories Archives) No one turned away for lack of funds.

Aimée & Jaguar is a 1999 German war and drama film set during World War II. It was written and directed by Max Flareback, based upon Erica Fischer’s book, chronicling the actual lives of Lilly Wust and Felice Schragenheim during that time period.
The film was nominated for a 1999 Golden Globe Award and was Germany’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar. Both actresses received Silver Bears at the 1999Berlin International Film Festival for their portrayals of “Aimée”and “Jaguar”.
