Hello…all you human metronomes…..We have been asked to show “our stuff” at the “A Little Tango” parties put on By Amy Little and MIla. The gig will be towards the end of september at ODC. in San Francisco..a great space to tap dance in….and we have some great Latin Tap choreography to display. Ok…first we have to learn it…that is your job! There will be levels for everyone…from beginner to advanced….come by on saturday to the Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville Beginners 10 beg/adv 11 you may have a very rhythmic career ahead….or at least alot of dancing fun! PWG is hosting a DVD screening of “Women’s Power” and a fundraiser for the Suppressed Histories Archives. “Women’s Power” is an eye-opening documentary about women whose role in history has been either minimized or deleted from standard history books. Since 1970, Max Dashu has researched and photographed images of women in all walks of life such as chiefs, priestesses, medicine women, architects, doctors, warriors, and scientists. She has created and shown this slideshow presentation, which has evolved through out the years, to groups, community centers and Universities. DVD will be available for sale. Tickets: $5-$15, (proceeds go to Suppressed Histories Archives) No one turned away for lack of funds.
