Hello South Bay Sappho,
My next free movement class at Elephant Pharmacy in Los Altos is on Saturday September 20 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Elephant Pharmacy is at 4470 El Camino Real, just northwest of the San Antonio shopping center.
I have a new six-week class starting at Kaiser next week (August 20). It’s on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. To register, call 408-851-3800. The class meets in a Kaiser building on the corner of Homestead and Tantau in Santa Clara. You don’t need to be a Kaiser member to attend. The next six-week session after this one will begin on October 1.
I’m teaching two Thursday classes in Palo Alto (August 14 and 28) from 12:15 to 1:15 at Integrated Healing Arts on El Camino Way. The cost is $15 for each class. Here’s a link with the address and a map that shows you where the classroom is: http://www.integratedhealing.org/directions.htm
My Santa Clara Adult Education class starts on Thursday, August 28 (not August 21, as it says in the catalog). The class meets on Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. The cost is only $30 for twelve weeks if you’re an older adult (age 55+). To register, call 408-423-3555. The class meets at the old Wilson High School, 1840 Benton St., Santa Clara.
My Mountain View class is on vacation until September 16. The class will meet on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM for 11 weeks. The cost is $20 if you’re an older adult. You can register now at 650-940-1333. Feel free to come to a free sample class to see how much you’ll enjoy it. The class meets at the Mountain View Senior Center (266 Escuela Avenue).
More detailed information on my movement and acupressure classes is available at www.BalanceFlow.com/classes.htm
Rosen Method Movement: Gentle, yet powerful movement and dance designed to lubricate all the joints in the body. Classes help you stay active and healthy, improve balance and coordination, and cope more effectively with stress. Developed by an innovative physical therapist as a way to prevent difficulties before they arise, each class follows a sequence that prepares the body to dance across the floor. Low-impact, both energizing and meditative, and definitely fun.
Hope to see you soon - Jan
