PWG is hosting a DVD screening of “Women’s Power” and a fundraiser for the Suppressed Histories Archives. “Women’s Power” is an eye-opening documentary about women whose role in history has been either minimized or deleted from standard history books. Since 1970, Max Dashu has researched and photographed images of women in all walks of life such as chiefs, priestesses, medicine women, architects, doctors, warriors, and scientists. She has created and shown this slideshow presentation, which has evolved through out the years, to groups, community centers and Universities. DVD will be available for sale. Tickets: $5-$15, (proceeds go to Suppressed Histories Archives) No one turned away for lack of funds.

Our mission is to provide a safe environment for women to meet other women and participate in small and large group discussions about topics of interest to our community. We also sponsor workshops, educational meetings, potlucks, and just plain fun! The volunteer steering committee members lead informal group discussions, arrange speakers and workshops, and organize game nights, potlucks, holiday parties, and more.
