For the first time in the Bay Area, 16 same-sex dance stars of international fame (Women and Men World Champions and top of the line show dancers from Germany, Hungary, Canada, NYC and the Bay Area) will be featured in a Professional Dance Extravaganza of 60 minutes. And of course you will have fun social dancing to popular Swing, Salsa, Country, Latin and Ballroom music. So here’s the pitch… Lesbian? Born with a disability? Living with progressive illness? In a wheelchair, or not? Still recovering from injury or accident? Not sure if your disability is temporary or permanent?
Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, or have been living and thriving with a disability, this group is for you!
The purpose of LezAbility is to have fun… and to share your experience, information and chutzpah on adapting to disability. We want to create and nurture a positive experience for women.
We are in an economic crisis that puts our vulnerable community at greater risk than the general population. We believe it’s important to track and care for one another. Who’s for us if we’re not?
