SF FOODIES - Thurs, Nov 20

— admin @ 5:45 pm

NOTE THE DATE CLARIFICATION - THURS, NOV 20   A new group is starting for women who love good food and good company.
SF Foodies is a new lesbian social club for women in the city.  We bring women from a range of backgrounds together around a common interest: good food.  And why not? With hundreds of excellent restaurants here, we have the unique opportunity of getting to know and experience SF’s local culinary treasures.and each other.at the same time.
SF Foodies is open to all ages, all races, all styles of dress and hair. If you think you won’t fit in, you’re exactly who I want to chat with at the next event. I also know that while the bars are lotsa fun, most women aren’t wired to be attracted to looks alone. So, hopefully Foodies allows the singles to make some deeper connections.
We’ll hold our inaugural dinner on Thursday, November 20 at 7 p.m. at Mi Lindo Yucatan in the heart of Castro.  Mi Lindo Yucatan is not so much a hole in the wall as it is a cozy, colorful restaurant with servers who give you a virtual tour of the Yucatan at the same time as telling you about the night’s specials.
Experience original Mayan dishes, authentically prepared by Mayans from the Yucatan Peninsula (I asked :-). Tamales, empanadas, enchiladas al estilo Yucateca.and for those with heartier appetites there are Mayan specialty entrees like the cochinita pibil (pork roasted in banana leaves) and frijol con puerco (black bean and pork stew).  Dishes range from $3.75-$15. You can bring a bottle of wine for a small corkage fee.
Mi Lindo Yucatan Neighborhood: Noe Valley 4042 24th St (between Castro St & Noe St )
You’ll recognize us by the plaid hat I’ll be wearing - impossible not to miss! Learn more about SF Foodies at SF Foodies Group on Yahoo! - sf_foodies-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Free Champagne Brunch & Women’s Financial Empowerment Workshop

— admin @ 5:45 pm

You’re Invited! More than ever it is important to understand how to make money work for you.

Champagne Brunch & Women’s Financial Empowerment Workshop, Saturday October 25th, 9:15am to 1:15pm.
This is a FREE workshop designed to educate you about how money works! My partner and I have been hosting this workshop for a couple of years as a way to help women understand money concepts.
What some of our past attendees have said! Lot’s of great information. K.S., Thank you for the very informative presentation, will recommend to other women. K.R., Good workshop. Easy to understand. Would like to send clients in the future to these and other workshops to educate.. D. K., Great workshop. I will recommend highly to others. E.H., Good workshop-helpful and focused on women. L. M.
Wouldn’t it be nice to learn how money really works? More importantly, would you like to learn how to make some of your hard-earned money work for you instead of you always having to work for it? Would you like to learn about financial independence and about how to meet your financial goals? WFG is committed to helping women prepare, financially, for their future. If you need to develop a financial strategy, if changes in your life have taken you off your financial course, or if you just need to review your current financial conditions, this is a workshop you don’t want to miss.
All attendees receive a financial workbook. This event is well attended please RSVP to hold a seat.
