Starting this weekend, “Sappho Dog Moms” walks are going weekly instead of monthly: NOON, at BERNAL HILL! See you there in the morning (tomorrow morning, Saturday the 20th). Come take advantage of the one predicted rain-free day! Enjoy company and conversation while you walk your dog– new women always welcome.

In January or February, I would like to offer a free monthly support group for Lesbian Widows and partners who have survived (are surviving) the loss of their lesbian partner. I am thinking we will try it for 6 months and then decide if we want to move, or change the day and time, or disband.
I am not a counselor, but I am a trained facilitator, meditator, and middle school teacher. I have started different types of support group for Kaiser in Redwood City. I am not an expert on death, but my wife of twenty years died of cancer 5/25/08. I have had excellent support from KARA, http://www.kara-grief.org/ Kaiser Hospice and Dr. Alexandra Snow.
We would probably meet at Stanford or somewhere near a Palo Alto CalTrain station or at Kaiser in Redwood City. (It seems like at least one person would like us to be close to public transportation, so we will be flexible. Perhaps we can find a free place on the Cal Train Line.) So, I would like you to e-mail me if you are interested in attending. Here are some of the possible days and times, please let me know your preference.
