KARMA a South African Lesbian singer/song writer will be in Santa Cruz for one show only. Join us for an evening of amazing acoustic music. KARMA is an award winning artist, equipped with phenomenal talent, addictive songs and an uncanny ability to captivate every listener. Her sound is reminiscent of Suzanne Vega and Natalie Merchant infused with the pop friendliness of The Cranberries. Without a doubt, KARMA’s most powerful quality is the blatant heartache instilled into her writing and performances - an attribute that has won her the accolade of 1 wordsmith in her homeland. Arrica Rose will start the show off with her rich and sultry voice. She is an amazing Indie artist in her own right. Space is limited to reserve tickets e-mail: jamyrson@hotmail. com For more about Karma and hear her music: www.myspace. com/karma or www.theofficialkarm asite.com For info on Arrica Rose and hear her music: www.myspace. com/arricarose

looking for someone ASAP to run sound for sexy one-woman show!

— admin @ 6:32 pm

i’m looking for someone who’s willing to volunteer their time to run the sound cues for my one-woman show and help set up and break down the stage. it basically entails you pushing play at the appropriate times during the run of the show. you will have a script to follow. some experience would be great, but someone who is detailed-oriented, organized, focused, sharp, confident and commited will do wonderfully. you will get to see a fabulous show and help out a local and upcoming artist kick-off her first one-woman show.

the schedule is as follows:

tech/dress rehearsal 1/15, 7:30-until (could go late to midnite or later) at shotwell studios, 3252-a 19th st. (@shotwell) in san fran’s mission district.

one additional rehearsal on 1/17, in the afternoon in oakland near lake merrit BART (if you feel you need another practice, we can meet on 1/16 in the early evening)

1st show on 1/18 @ 8pm. call time 6pm. there is another performer going on before me. my show will most likely start btw 9 & 9:30pm but want get there early just in case we need to run something, get in a warm-up, etc.

if necessary, may fit in another rehearsal between the 18 & 22.

2nd show on 1/22 @ 8pm. call time 7:45pm at the latest. there is another performer going on before me. my show will most likely start btw 9 & 9:30pm.

3rd show on 1/24 @8pm. call time 7:45pm at the latest.

for more info about me and the show, Sweet Deliverance, visit myspace.com/vixen_noir.
