LGBTQ Welcoming & Inclusive Elementary School Forums

The event that you have been waiting for!
The annual LGBTQ Welcoming & Inclusive Elementary School Forums are for parents/caregivers, teachers, staff and administrators interested in making your schools safer and more inclusive of LGBTQ people and our families.
This is a great opportunity to strategize about curriculum addressing family diversity and gender role issues, and look at anti-harassment policies and anti-bullying efforts.
There will be a panel and break out groups. The panels will include:
* parents to talk about how parents can be involved in change * educators to discuss their teaching experiences * a legal expert to talk about the laws protecting against discrimination * discussion of the impact of Prop 8 on school environments * AND MUCH MORE!
The forums are also helpful for incoming kindergarten parents seeking an elementary school.

Now we want to get the word out to the entire community. Please spread the word to fellow parents, teachers and principals. Post the flyers at your school and get it to any parents who you think might be interested - LGBT or straight!
