I just got back from the Avon Walk to some CampOUT! messages…
One woman who was going to come and drive cancelled–this leaves 1 (possibly 2) women without a ride. If you have a car, a good driving record, are insured, and are willing to drive 1-2 others to the CampOUT in a couple of days, I’ll give you a scholarship spot on the trip. One of the women needing a ride is in SF; I am not sure about the other–I am awaing her reply.
The women would split gas/tolls/park entrance fee with you, and your spot on the trip is paid for by me. You would be responsible for some of your food (e.g. the meals not included) and any incidentals.
The trip is July 15-19 (Wed-Sun) in Yosemite. The last trip was a TON of fun and this one promises to be the same. Gorgeous scenery (mountains, streams, lakes, forest), great women, and lots of laughs! More details: Go to www.wenandtara.com and click on the “CampOUT event” tab.

Please join “Get Engaged” , and Marriage Equality Monterey Peninsula (MEMP) on Thursday July16, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Peace and Justice Center, 1364 Fremont St. in Seaside for a presentation on polling data about marriage equality in California, followed by a discussion of whether to sponsor a ballot initiative in 2010 or 2012. Results of that discussion will be taken back to a statewide meeting along with input from “Get Engaged” meetings all over California.
