Lt. Dan Choi is an Arabic translator United States Army combat veteran of the Iraq war, who is currently challenging the American military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Since coming out publicly as a gay member of the military on The Rachel Maddow Show on March 20th, Lt. Choi has become a highly visible LGBT rights activist.
