WHITE WATER RAFTING
Getaway Weekend July 11-13

Lavender Events has partnered with North America's only lesbian-owned rafting company, Mariah Wilderness Expeditions, to offer the LGBT community an exclusive weekend just a few short hours from the Bay Area. Come join us for a fun and memorable rafting adventure while having the opportunity to spend some quality time with your friends or get to know new ones!

Adventure Cost

The beginner level (2 spots left) is $295 and the intermediate trip (wait list) is $330. This adventure includes 2 days rafting, 2 nights camping, 5 meals and river use fees (6%).

Accommodations

Accommodations include private showers, flushing toilets, ping pong table, volleyball court, horse shoes and a camp store.

If you prefer, you may stay close by with more comforts of home. Consider staying near by at Sierra Nevada House in Coloma. The Best Western in Placerville is also an option that is further away. Meet us each day and around camp for breakfast and dinner

Coloma about 50 minutes east of Sacramento off North Shingle Road.


Renting Equipment

Mariah offers rentals on cabins, tents, cots, sleep kits (sleeping bag and liner) and sleeping pads. To learn more about rentals, please contact Mariah Wilderness Expeditions.
 

beginner level - $295

We'll travel 21 miles on the South Fork American River, Class III - Low-Medium Intensity white water rapids on Saturday & Sunday. Includes two nights camping (Friday & Saturday) with five meals. Mariah has served over 100,000 happy guests since 1982 with top-quality guides and equipment.

intermediate level - $330

For those with previous experience and have the desire to try something more exciting, we are offering the South Fork/Middle Fork Combo. The rapids on this river range from Class II to Class V. Overall we rate this river as an adventuresome Class III, with several Class IV rapids and one Class V rapid — the famous Tunnel Chute. The permits for the Middle Fork are very limited, so we request you reserve as soon as possible pending availability.
