The LGBT Community Partnership is welcoming organizations and individuals who serve older adults and adults with disabilities to a free event on November 12, 2008, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the LGBT Center in San Francisco.
This event provides an ideal environment to better understand adults with disabilities and learn more about the culturally sensitive services that are needed.
P R O G R A M 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. - Snacks and Networking Network with peers from other aging and disability agencies and organizations. 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Interactive Forum Learn about independent living stories of the community (Time for question and answer included). 3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - More time for Snacks and Networking 4:00 p.m. - 5 p.m. - Short Play “No - Assumptions - Women and Disability” performed by MotherTongue Feminist Collective Theater.
