This month Soul Support will explore the work and strategy of the national organization, Soulforce. Soulforce is a watchdog organization that monitors and confronts religious groups that spread falsehoods and anti-lgbt rhetoric. The presentation will include a 20 minute video, group discussion, and close with some jazzy, soulful saxophone playing by our very own Chuck Witschorik. Please join us for an evening of sax, lies and videotape! Soulforce is a national social justice and civil rights organization that resists the religious and political oppression of LGBT people through creative forms of nonviolent, direct action. Soulforce is based on the principles of nonviolent resistance as taught and practiced by Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr.
