This will be devastating for several HIV prevention programs, especially in Santa Clara County. Funding for HIV rapid testing at the DeFrank LGBT Community Center has been entirely cut as of July, but the center hopes to raise enough money to keep the program. The Neil Christie Living Center on Race Street, that serves the HIV positive community in San Jose, is also facing a $50,000 cut from the County. That will reduce the services available. Many more cuts are proposed but state legislators are still negotiating the budget. OutNow will keep you informed of changes in HIV/AIDS funding. No matter what, cuts will happen. It’s at the store “Park Avenue” at the Northridge Mall in Salinas. [disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with that store, and my friend negotiated the deal for a different White Party he's promoting in August. But...I went there tonight and got myself some nice threads, which I'll be wearing on Saturday night.
